Kuldeep Srivasatava (Four Poems)
No Hopes
Restless eyes amid the dark rampant of pain;
longing for ever-that silence sings,
swaying on its kingdom and beyond,
there are trees and trees but no leaves.
Betrayals
Memories collude,
those halting kisses
recall again the night
celestial doors were ajar;
your innocence giving me
one more chance to survive.
My breath is sufficiently squeezed,
the work of faceless entities,
I keep painting on blackness
as I develop my deep love for
betrayals and conclusions foregone
Coldness
Inauspicious layers of a multitude,
I feel surrounded; hibernating shapes,
A transcendent noise spread in its vastness;
Another day without dawn-thy love I wouldn’t have,
I feel cold-outside my ecstasy stands frozen.
A Stranger
A day fulfills itself,
Sadness falls clumsily,
You ponder as the sun sinks swiftly,
Then you move from moor to moor;
The end of thought: madness unsettles,
Long, long ago, in this very room
You had become a stranger to yourself.
